Good Friday afternoon!
So I read the second book in the undead series, Undead and Unemployed and I thought I’d share it with you guys. I am also already onto the third one, so expect a review in the next few days for that one. So, this one is as good as the first, and better, becuase there is wayyyyy more mention of tea. Not only that, but things start picking up becuase we have the foundation from the first book. In this one, Betsy is still trying to be “normal” and so she decides to go and get a job, welll thing get crazy after that, so you’ll have to read to see what happens in this book.
Being royally undead isn”t all it”s cracked up to be–there are still bills to be paid. Luckily, new Queen of the Vampires Betsy Taylor lands her dream job selling designer shoes at Macy”s.
But when a string of vampire murders hits St. Paul, Betsy must enlist the help of the one vamp who makes her blood boil: the oh-so-sexy Sinclair. Now, she”s really treading on dangerous ground–high heels and all.
I enjoyed reading this book, Besty getting her job may seem superficial on the surface, but deep down below, she is trying to come to terms with her new “life”. Being dead is making her realize the things that she has to give up now that she is no longer alive. Her coping, coming to terms or even just recognizing is a little sad. Like this book has humour in it, to distract us, and Besty from the sadness of her situation. So I really enjoyed this book.
Happy reading !
