Wish came true!

Hey everyone, Happy Saturday!

I have been SO BUSY this week that I haven’t had any time to write blog posts. Don’t worry, I’m still here, my schedule has just gotten so hectic and busy with university. I am happy to say that my last first week of my undergrad career was pretty good, just takes time getting used to things. Today I wanted to write about a new item that I recently purchased a couple of weeks ago, and have gotten to really enjoy this week during classes. This special new item is my camera lens coffee mug. It was pretty unattainable to get, but I finally found it in a store in Guelph at a cute little store called On the Verge

So yeah, I got one of my wish-list items checked off ( or rather two… I got my new spiffy green lamp… details in a later post), which makes me happy. Honestly, this thing is perfect for admirers of both tea ( and in some people’s cases coffee) and photography. It is a unique item and does it’s job. It is a bit on the small side, but that’s no problem because I can always keep adding more hot water. It is hand-washable only, but it’s all good, a little hand washing never hurt anyone, I already do it for my teapots- nothing new there. Spill-wise, I haven’t tested it out yet, but I’m sure its not too bad. Overall I am really happy with it.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

My fun-tastical wish list

Hey everyone !

I’m pretty sure at some point in your life there is something, or some things that you really wish you had but don’t. I know I’m not the only one. There are a few things on my “wish” list at the moment that I hope to get sometime soon, so here goes!

#1 Camera Lens Travel Mug

One day at work this summer one of my girlfriends walked into work with all her stuff. as she was signing in, I noticed she was holding a camera lens ( or what I thought to be). I found it odd and thought she wanted to show me one of her cool lenses. When I asked about it, she laughed and drank out of it. Turns out this “lens” is actually a travel coffee/tea mug. And my mouth dropped and I just knew that I had to have one.

It is not only one of the coolest things that I have ever seen, but it also is just the perfect thing for a person like me. You may ask why… yet the reason is so simple. This beautiful little creation combines two things that I love dearly: photography and tea… clearly a match made in heaven. Now the getting it part is what proves to be difficult. I am trying to find a nearby store that would have such an item, as I am not a big internet shopper. I am not going to lose hope, but continue my search of this truly wonderful invention.

#2 Ellipse teacup with saucer ( David’s Tea)

I swear that David’s Tea for me is a drug. Every single time that I walk in there, I leave either with an item or heartbroken because I was “strong”  and decided to leave it there. I know realistically that I cannot just buy everything I see there because that would make me broke. But it’s been about a month, month and a half and I just cannot get my mind off of these gorgeous cups. I can just envision myself using them already, even though I don’t. These cups, the green ones at least, would make a wonderful addition to my tea collection I do have. I would ideally like to get two of the green ( honeydew) ones to start off my collection and perhaps get more later on. For now I’ll just wait… but I will really most likely be getting these.

#3 Spiffy Ikea Lamp

So as you’ll notice, first things off, that this item is different from the other “wish” list items. It is not related to either photography or tea, I have strayed ( for now) from that subject. Moving on, I would just like to say that with this lamp, it was love at first sight. The first time I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for my new room.

My new room is green and this is going to fit perfectly with it. The colours really compliment the wall and the other green accents in the room. It is the finishing touch in my work of a progress room. and another perk? It’s my favourite colour.

So here we have it… my “wish” list for what really grabs me right now. Maybe I will inspire people to add things to their mental wish lists. I hope you enjoy your Sunday!
